How It Works

The Intermediate Plate installs between the exhaust outlet and the spark arrestor screen, where it disperses and redirects the exhaust flow before it reaches the screen. Rather than allowing concentrated exhaust pulses to strike a single area, the plate helps distribute the flow more evenly across the screen.

This changes the character of the exhaust note, producing a smoother, more refined sound while also reducing the direct thermal and mechanical loading on the spark arrestor screen.

What to Expect

The Intermediate Plate is designed to refine the exhaust note—not function as a muffler or silencer. While many users notice the exhaust sounds less sharp and carries less aggressively, particularly at a distance, measured sound levels taken close to the muffler may change very little.

The primary difference is in the quality and character of the sound rather than a dramatic reduction in overall volume.
